About this map:

This map shows the locations of stream estuaries and the extent of mangrove vegetation in southern Guam. GIS data showing locations of estuaries were created by Island Research & Education Initiative for the purposes of this atlas and identify places where freshwater streams discharge into the ocean. The mangrove vegetation data were created by U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service from high spatial resolution multispectral IKONOS satellite imagery.
